HOW DOES THE JOURNAL-BANNER HANDLE LETTERS TO THE EDITOR?
The newspaper welcomes letters to the editor. Send a one-page double-spaced typewritten or legible handwritten letter. We ask that you do not use the "letters" column for character assassination or to further your religious doctrine. No unsigned letter will be printed, so be sure to sign your letter. Name, address and phone number should be included, but only your name, city, and state will be printed. The newspaper reserves the right to edit letters for space, not content. HOW CAN I PLACE AN OBITUARY IN THE NEWSPAPER?
Obituaries are normally submitted by funeral homes in our circulation area. You may bring them to the newspaper office or mail them to: Obituary Editor, P.O. Box 97, Piedmont, MO 63957. You may email them to dlilly@waynecojournalbanner.com
HOW DO I GET AN ENGAGEMENT OR WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE NEWSPAPER?
The newspaper prints weddings, engagements, anniversaries and other Family Living news as a service to our readers. To ensure all articles are of current interest, information should be submitted as soon as possible. Wedding information must be received in our office in time to be published no later than the sixth issue following the wedding. Weddings received after the six-week deadline will be printed in a very abbreviated version. In wedding photos, only the bride, and/or the bride and groom, should be pictured.
HOW CAN I PLACE A BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT?
Simply call or send information to our office. Please include a phone number so that we may verify any details. If you request a photo or wish to list deceased relatives, there will be a charge for the announcement.
HOW DO I GET BACK ISSUES?
The Newspaper tries to keep a few recent back issues. Please know the date of the issue you need. All the older issues are on microfilm at the Missouri Historical Society, 1020 Lowry Street, Columbia, MO 65201, phone 573-882-7083.
HOW DO I SUBCRIBE TO THE JOURNAL-BANNER?
You may come by the office or mail your check to the Circulation Department to begin your subscription. Call locally at 573-223-7122 or toll free at 1-800-923-7122 for circulation rates. Postal regulations require all subscriptions be paid in advance. The Newspaper accepts credit cards.
HOW DO I OBTAIN PHOTOS WHICH HAVE RUN IN THE NEWSPAPER?
Photos which are taken by our staff are available by request at a cost of $10 for a 4x6 photo reprint.
HOW CAN I GET A PICTURE TAKEN?
If you know of a special event which needs coverage, call our office to request a photographer. Please call at least 24 hours in advance of the event. Readers may submit photos and information about an event.
