Romance author and Southeast Missouri native CaSondra Poulsen will have multiple stops around Southeast Missouri on her 2012 Fall Book Tour. Stops will include the Ozark Heritage Festival in Piedmont, Mo (Oct 19 & 20), Country Junction (Oct 26), Oasis Christian Bookstore (Oct 27) in Farmington, Mo and Nevaeh Faith Christian Store (Nov 3) in her hometown, Fredericktown, Mo. CaSondra is a 1988 graduate of Fredericktown Senior High School. She has invited other local author to join her, including, Randy Pogue and Regina Tittel.

Her latest and third release, “Finding Home: Brian’s Journey”, the sequel to “Calling Me Home”, continues with Brian and Taya’s story. CaSondra wields her pen and brings Patterson, Missouri to life as the center of Brian’s journey to face the demons that haunt him as he grasps at love and forgiveness while coming to grips with his duty as a soldier and the mistakes of his past.

In her second novel “Calling Me Home” Southeast Missouri native CaSondra Poulsen tells the emotional love story of two sets of twenty-something siblings, Tom and Taya Mitchell and twins, Samantha and Brian Richards. Samantha is running from a past with crushing memories. Tom is content living an easy-going life owning a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California. Taya is a free spirit who dreams of becoming a chef, and Brian is bound by his patriotism as a soldier and sense of duty to protect those he loves. When their worlds collide, they must face choices that will set the course for the rest of their lives.

Her first novel, “Torn Hearts” CaSondra Poulsen tells the story of Caroline, who senses her husband, Daniel’s emotional withdrawal and escapes the struggles of her marriage by taking their nine-year-old daughter, Emily, for a summer visit to the grandmother who raised Caroline as her own. In an effort to help her granddaughter, Mary retells her love story before and during WWII. CaSondra used her own grandmother, who was born and raised in Patterson, Missouri as inspiration for the character Mary.

“Although my books are not considered Christian fiction, they do carry a solid moral message through realistic characters that readers can relate with. My goal is always for readers to feel the joy and pain of my characters. I strive to leave the reader thinking about them long after they have finished the book. It has been an honor and joy to use Patterson as a central location for Finding Home: Brian’s Journey. The area is home to me, so it was a natural choice,” says CaSondra when asked about novels.

Tate Publishing and Ballad Publishing companies have published CaSondra Poulsen’s books. Her books are available at bookstores nationwide, through the publishers, author,, and other online media sites.

Poulsen grew up in Southeast Missouri but now lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She is a volunteer English tutor for the Lincoln Literacy Council and in her spare time enjoys a variety of hobbies.
