Storm Moving In

Posted: Friday, September 7, 2012 12:24 pm

Reader Jason Ijames snapped this photograph Thursday, Sept. 5, as a fast-moving storm approached Piedmont. The storm dumped a large amount of water on the region. The storm disrupted electric service and telephone service for many residents in the county. The storm also blew down many trees. The Wayne County Sheriff's Department said several wrecks occurred during the storm.
