Bettye J. (Hensler) and Willis M. Knight recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The couple was joined as one on Nov. 7, 1964. Reverend Ron Solomon officiated the ceremony which was held at The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, East St. Louis, Ill. Their wedding party included Joe Stewart (friend of the groom) and Linda Knight (sister of the groom).
Gene and Betty (Eaton) Bilbrey of Williamsville will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 29, 2014, by working at the Labor Day picnic, which Gene has chaired for 30 years.

Stanley and Sandra Garrison recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 1, 1964, at the First Baptist Church of Piedmont by Pastor Bill Belmar.

On Dec. 14, 1963, Elizabeth Fulton became the bride of Orville Bridges. Their years together have brought about many joys, including two children, Sharon (Bridges) Burkey (husband, Stacey) and Tim Bridges (wife, Rita) as well as six grandchildren, Joshua and Noah Burkey, Ben, Nathan, Abbie, and Aidan Bridges.
Tom and Judy Hovis recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by attending a Chuck Wagon Gang concert. They were married on Sept. 4, 1963, in Illinois. They are lifelong residents of eastern Wayne County where they raised seven children. They made their living as cattle farmers and also were foster parents. They welcomed over 100 foster children into their home throughout the years. Their children include Barry (Laura) Hovis of Jackson, Tim (Jennifer) Hovis of Turkey Creek, Sara (Tony) Foley of Ozark, Peggy (Doug) Roach of Piedmont, Nancy (Ed) Wartha of Marble Falls, Texas, and Robin and Charlie Hovis of Turkey Creek. They are proud grandparents of 11- 7 girls and 4 boys. Their grandchildren are Erica, Adam, Anna, Evie (Jeremy), Seth, Macy, Sydney, Chase, Jordyn, Ethan, and Emma. On Tuesday, Sept. 10, they welcomed their first great-grandchild, Elijiah Thomas Smith. They enjoy spending time with their family, attending church at Turkey Creek, and singing/playing southern gospel music.
Bob and Carol Browne celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party hosted by their children on Oct. 19. Bob and Carol were united in marriage on Oct. 24, 1963. Many family members and friends attended to help in the celebration. They wish to extend a special thank you to Willard Batton, Mike Morris and Valda Click.
