Carol Jane Daggs, 61, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her home in Greenville, Mo. She was born on Jan. 23, 1955, in Lutesville, Mo., a daughter of Johnny Chester and Betty Jane (White) Acup. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Melissa Griggs.
Larry R. Brinkley finished his walk with us on April 6, 2016, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kan. He was born Aug. 15, 1943, to the late Loyd A. and Mary Gentles Brinkley. He was united in marriage to Lois Ann Shoemake, daughter of the late Virgil and Virginia Shoemake, on March 25, 1962. She preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2006. As high school sweethearts, they spent 44 years working together for God in the Missouri and Oklahoma Nazarene Church district where they raised their family.
David Eugene Jenne, 54, of St. Louis, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 24, 1961, in Normandy, Mo., the son of Dale and Shirley (Yow) Jenne. He lived for many years in the St. Louis area and worked as a janitor for the Ritenour School District in St. Louis.
Ellen June Scaggs, 88, of Valier, Ill., died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Franklin Hospital Emergency Room. Funeral Services were held April 16 at Whittington Church, with Revs. Mark Minor and Greg Shelton officiating. Local arrangements were through the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton. Graveside Services were held April 17 at the Murphy Cemetery in Piedmont, with Ellen’s son, Lester White officiating. Graveside services were under the direction of the Ruegg Funeral Homes in Piedmont.
Charles E. Mize, 70, of Piedmont, died Friday, April 15, 2016, at his residence. He was born on June 11, 1945, to Seth Mize and Irene Mize nee’ Treat in Big Flat, Ark. On Nov. 24, 1987, Charles married Ila Stemple in Garwood, Mo., and she survives.

She was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Malden to the late Sam Barry and Dillie Mae Dildine. She was a former resident of Clubb, Mo. She had resided in McAllen, Texas, for the past five years.

Donald Leon “Pete” Wakefield Sr., 69, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont. Pete was born at Low Wassie, Mo., on Feb. 1, 1947, to Thomas Wakefield and Clara (Collins) Wakefield. He was united in marriage to Margaret Gardner, and during their 47 years of marriage two sons were born, Donnie Wakefield and Greg Wakefield.
Glenda Saundra Hancock, 71, was born July 22, 1944, on Andy’s Branch in Hiram, Mo., and died March 26, 2016, at Poplar Bluff. Glenda was the daughter of Joseph (Joe) Hancock and Carrie L. (Hood) Hancock, who preceded her in death.
Sandra Kay Sullivan, 73, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Centerville and lived most of her life in Iron County. She worked for many years as a cook and waitress and was a member of the Free Spirit General Baptist Church near Annapolis. Sandy was married to James C. Sullivan on Aug. 4, 1959, at Annapolis and he died Nov. 3, 1969.

Donald G. Henson, 86, of Williamsville, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born Aug. 15, 1929, to Clarence E. Henson and Jettie Mae Hughes Henson, in Williamsville. He spent his childhood and attended school in Williamsville, graduating from Williamsville High School in 1946. On Aug. 17, 1957, Donald married Sharon Lea Schweitzer, and to this union, four children were born. On Dec. 30, 1987, he married Vivian Duckett Ward, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 2008.

George Joseph Pruneau, born Feb. 4, 1935, died on Feb. 28, 2016, from chronic respiratory disease. He passed peacefully at his home in Saint Louis in the presence of his wife and sister. He is survived by his wife Mary; and sons, S. Michael Pruneau of Kansas City, Kan., and Steven J. (Midori) Pruneau of Santa Monica, Calif.; two stepsons, Chad Wells and Paul (Bethany) Wells; two granddaughters, Chandler J. Pruneau and Paxton M. Pruneau; one grandson, Cyrus A. Pruneau, two step-granddaughters, Paige and Marissa Wells; one brother, Thomas Pruneau Sr., Bellville, Mich., one sister, Judith M. Schulz of St. Louis; as well as a niece, grand nieces, nephews and grandnephews.

Frank William Parker, 46, son of Kenny and Linda (Charlton) Albert, was born in Belleville, Ill., on July 17, 1969. He passed away near Ellington on March 10, 2016. Frank was of the Baptist faith and he was baptized in Springfield. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children whom he loved dearly.

Jimmy Dale Livingston, Sr., 76, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born April 28, 1939, in Ruble, Mo., the son of Lyman Livingston and Ida Mae (Paul) Livingston. Jimmy was married to Joyce Brandt July 23, 1960, at St. Louis and had lived in Piedmont for many years. He was a retired truck driver and a longtime member of Victory Baptist Temple in Piedmont.

Norman “ Fay” Goad, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by Dorsie J. Goad (nee Lutes), his wife of 62 years. He was the father and father-in-law of Dwight (Diana) Goad and Sharis (Steven) Norris. He had four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mary M. Allen, 90, of Fredericktown, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at her home. She was born May 31, 1925, in Marble Hill, a daughter of Pinkney and Hollie (James) Liley. On Sept. 8, 1941, she was united in marriage to Willard “Bill” Masters and to this unions four children were born. Bill preceded her in death in 1991. She later met and married Floyd “Bud” Allen in Chester, Ill., and he survives in Fredericktown.

She was born March 10, 1952, in Clifton, Tenn., the daughter of Roy and Nellie Jo (Conder) Wilson. She lived in Greenville for many years. Linda was a bus driver for Greenville Schools and attended the Camp Eight General Baptist Church. She was married to James C. Hill on April 4, 1968, in Greenville and he died Nov. 10, 2010.
