Ruth Gray daughter of the late Ola Patterson Arl and Lewis Arl, was born at Corridon, Missouri, on September 28, 1921. She departed this life at her residence at Corridon, on October 3, 2012, at the age of 91.
On May 15, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, Ruth was united in marriage to William Woodrow Gray; he preceded her in death on May 19, 1997. Ruth was a member of the Lone Cedar United Baptist Church. Her hobbies included working, traveling, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Ralph Arl, and two sisters, Grace Johnson and Martha Baker.
Ruth is survived by two brothers, James Arl of Rolla, Mo., Walter Arl of Ellington, and one sister, Edith Callahan of Ellington. Ruth is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 6 to 8 p.m. at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home.
Marvin Richards will be the minister. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Cemetery Pallbearers will be Steve Arl, Kevin Arl, Jimmy Arl, Randy Johnson, Bruce Callahan and Dennis Baker.
