Bridge Repairs to Begin May 1 on Hwy 34

Route 34 in Wayne County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-ft. width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge repairs.
This bridge is located over Peter’s Branch Creek.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 1 starting at 6 a.m. During this time, one lane will remain closed for approximately one week with temporary signals in place and will re-open Saturday, May 13 at 6 p.m.
The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
