Judy S. Harmon
Judy Sharon Harmon, daughter of the late James Franklin Chitwood and Velma (Roderman) Chitwood and raised by special parents, Janie and Anthony Roderman, was born in Ironton on Oct. 10, 1943. She passed away at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis on April 15, 2017, at the age of 73 years, six months and five days.
On Oct. 7, 1961, in Ellington, Judy was united in marriage to Henry Solomon Harmon and to this union four children were born. Judy liked watching the St. Louis Cardinals, she loved listening to Friends Pickin’ and other bluegrass and gospel music. Judy loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her four children, David (Janet) Harmon of Park Hills, James (Kathy) Harmon of Park Hills, two daughters, Julie (Ray) Braddum of Park Hills, Crystal (Nick) Richardson of Fredericktown; four grandchildren; one special sister, Lois Skaggs and many special cousins. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends who mourn her passing.
Visitation was held Tuesday, April 18 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 19 also at the funeral home; with Rev. J.C. Moore officiating. Burial was in Massie Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington. Memorial contributions may be made to McSpadden Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
