Patterson Man Dies in Crash
A 29-year-old Patterson man died Friday morning, April 14, in a single-vehicle crash near Greenville. Killed was Ricky J. Harper. The Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 6:10 a.m. on Route E, six miles east of Greenville.
Harper was westbound in a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The Highway Patrol said that Harper’s car ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. Harper, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Wayne County Coroner Gary Umfleet.
Mill Spring Man Seriously Injured
William N. Singleton, 43, of Mill Spring was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, on Route 49, 10 miles northeast of Ellsinore.
The Highway Patrol said Singleton, who was wearing a seat belt, was northbound in a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado. His truck ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Singleton was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Cedar Hill Man Moderately Injured
Ronald R. Karn, 66, of Cedar Hill was moderately injured Thursday, April 13, in a 1:20 p.m. crash on Highway 67, three miles north of Silva.
Karn was southbound in a 2015 Dodge pickup. The Highway Patrol said that Karn’s truck ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a sign, struck an embankment and overturned; the truck was totalled in the crash.
The Highway Patrol said Karn was wearing a seat belt He was air lifted from the scene to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
