Saint Francis Healthcare System now offers cardiology care in Piedmont. Cardiologist Joseph C. Dwyer, MD, FACC, of Cape Cardiology Group in Cape Girardeau, will begin seeing patients for a variety of heart-related concerns at Piedmont Physician Associates, located on Route 4.
Board certified in cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology and with nearly four decades of experience, Dwyer’s clinical interests include noninvasive cardiology and echocardiography. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., and completed his internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and his residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He later fulfilled his cardiology fellowship at Saint Louis University Hospital.
