Greenville Couple Injured

A Greenville husband and wife were injured Monday evening in a one-vehicle crash in Madison County. The wreck occurred at 7:20 p.m. on Highway 67, six miles south of Cherokee Pass.

Dianne K. Bailey, 65, was southbound in a 2012 Toyota Prius. The Highway Patrol said Bailey’s car ran off the left side of the roadway. She reportedly overcorrected. The car then ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Bailey and her husband were both wearing seat belts. Dianne Bailey sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Farmington. Robert C. Bailey, 77, was seriously injured. He was air lifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

The Bailey’s car was totalled in the crash. It was towed from the scene.
