Reba Loretta (Boatwright) Battles
There will be serves in remembrance of Reba Loretta Boatwright Battles at Faith Family Church, located on Highway 34 east of Piedmont, on Saturday, July 8, at 1 p.m. The service will be hosted by Wayne Street and Battles’ sister “Sissy” Carolyn Boatwright. After services, everyone is welcome to go to Rick Boehmer’s house for lunch (426 East Daniels in Piedmont) for lunch and visiting.
Battles was born Dec. 26, 1972, in Ironton, the daughter of Ottis Boatwright (deceased) and Wanda Street Fahland. She is served by her mother, two sisters, Carolyn Boatwright and Elizabeth Harold; one brother, Charlie Boatwright; grandmother, Clara Silvy Boatwright, and many other relatives. Preceding her in death were her sister Lora Raddatz, her father, , grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
She was a resident of Piedmont in the 1970s and again in 1990. She was killed one year ago in a drive-by shooting in St. Louis.
