Jacks Headed to Regionals

The Wayne County Lumberjacks, pictured above, are on their way to the Senior Babe Ruth Midwest Plains Regional Baseball Tournament. This will be the team’s third straight appearance in regional play. Although rebuilding after the loss of numerous veterans from last year’s World Series squad, the Jacks finished 3-2 in the state tournament to qualify for their berth in regional championship tournament. Not pictured are: #21 Tye Huff,  #55 Jack Becker,  and #34 Bryce Alcorn. The team will travel to Junction City, Kan. and begin pool play Friday at 5 p.m. against the Kansas state champions.
