Boat Catches Fire Near Webb Creek Marina
NO ONE WAS INJURED SUNDAY AFTERNOON, July 9, in a boat fire/explosion that occurred near Webb Creek Marina at 12:05 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Travis J. Gemmell, 24, of Fenton, was driving the 1987 Fiberglass 18-foot Runabout. The watercraft caught fire after the engine backfired, the Patrol reports. The boat eventually sank in the lake.
