Mary L. Mason
Mary Lou Mason, daughter of the late Tille (McCulley) Dearing and Joseph Dearing, was born in Jefferson City on Oct. 15, 1951. She passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on July 7, 2017, at the age of 65.
On Dec. 31, 1986, in Barnhart, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Robert Mason. She loved watching St. Louis Cardinals and traveling throughout the United States. Mary Lou’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Robert Mason of Camdenton; two sons, Robert Mason Jr. of Jefferson City, James Donald Mason of St. Louis; two daughters, Julie Jacobs of Jefferson City, Deanna (Chris) Kopp of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Dearing of Quincy, Ill., Glenn Dearing of Jefferson City, Tim Dearing of Holts Summit; three sisters, Jane Berry of Tebbetts, Judy Rademann of Jefferson City and Evelyn Dearing of Tebbetts. Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation and funeral services were held Monday July 10 at McSpadden Funeral Home; with Rev. Mitch Bryant officiating. Burial was in Fitzgerald Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Robert Mason Jr., Jimmy Mason, Chris Kopp, Dillon Robertson, Christian Kopp and Jon Fitzgerald. Honorary Pallbearer was Dominic Mason.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home.
