Donna L. Abernathy

Donna Lynn Abernathy, 62, of Piedmont, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at her residence.

She was born to Charles and Emily (McDonald) McAllister in Piedmont on Jan. 21, 1955. She grew up in rural Piedmont and graduated from Clearwater R-1 School. She had worked for a local sewing company as a machine operator.

On Dec. 21, 1989, she married Ronald Abernathy and he preceded in death on Feb. 19, 2013. Donna was a dear sister to Carole Teal of Piedmont, Martha Borders of Des Arc, Mo, and Kim Rudnicki and husband Mike of Festus, Mo. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Meador-Flatwoods Cemetery near Piedmont. Bro. Greg Allen ministered to the family. Travis Abernathy, Jay Teal, Greg Allen, James Feliciano, Dalton Warrick, and Dereck Carter served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
