The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is planning to replace bridges on Route 21 and Route 49 in Iron County.

The Route 21 project involves replacing the bridge over Carver Creek, located approximately 2.2 miles west of the intersection of Route 21/72/49 near Glover, Mo.

The Route 49 project involves replacing the bridge over Big Creek, located approximately 1.5 miles south of Annapolis, Mo.

The projects are expected to be let in May 2018, with construction anticipated as early as summer 2018.

As construction is underway on Route 21, the roadway will be reduced to a single lane with temporary signals in place.
