Jerry Short
Jerry Allen Gale Short, son of the late Bernice (Sumpter) Short and Claire Short was born March 24, 1946. He departed this life near Lesterville on Aug. 25, 2017, at the age of 71.
On Oct. 7, 2008, Jerry was united in marriage to Erna R. Moon. Jerry’s hobbies included working in his saw shop, fixing hand tools with new handles and mowing lawns.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Erna Short of Boss; one step-son, Jason (Jodi) Leurs of Boss; one daughter, Trenell Vannasdall of Rockford; one step-daughter Gina Sims of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon Short Kleparshi of Willow Springs and Ruth Ann Brown of Oates. Jerry will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home in Lesterville.
