Ethan R. Chitwood
Ethan Ray Chitwood, son of Shirley (Angel) Bailey and Leon Ray Chitwood, was born in Salem on Dec. 11, 1998. He departed this life in St. Francois County on Sept. 28, 2017, at the age of 18.
Ethan was a senior at Bunker R-III School District. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, going mudding, riding four wheelers and spending time with his family and friends. Ethan’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his son, Bryce.
Ethan is survived by his father, Leon Chitwood; his mother, Angel Bailey; his son, Bryce Lee Chitwood; his fiancé, Sara Rhine; one brother, Aaron Chitwood and sister, Gracie Maelee Chitwood all of Centerville; and his grandfather, Leroy Bailey Sr. of Bunker. Ethan will be deeply missed by his family, classmates and many other friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 20 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Bunker. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Bunker R-III High School Gymnasiu; Pastors Terry Sharpe and Chad Wisdom officiating. Burial was in Corridon Reynolds Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Bradley Couthren, Leroy Bailey Jr., Cameron Walker, Jared Rhine, Dylan Welch and Bobbie Joe Barnes.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home in Bunker.
