Reynolds County Extension Awards Missouri Century Farm

The Reynolds County Extension Council awarded Helen Irene (Allison)Warren for this year’s Missouri Century Farm. Helen’s property is a 40 acre farm here in Reynolds County and was founded in 1905 by her Grandparents William and Mary Allison. Guidelines for 2017 program are: Same family must have owned the farm for 100 consecutive years or more. The line of ownership from the original settler or buyer may be through children, grandchildren, siblings and nephews or nieces, including through marriage or adoption. Present farm shall consist of no less than 40 acres of the original land and shall make a financial contribution to the overall farm income. Applications are available from approximately February 1 through May 15 from the MU Extension offices each year. Pictured above are members of the Extension Board and Ms. Warren.
