Annapolis Teen Injured in Crash

An Annapolis teen was injured early Jan. 13 in a one-vehicle crash on Route C, two miles southeast of Annapolis. The Highway Patrol said that Robert W. Copenhaver, 19, was eastbound in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt at 3:10 a.m. Copenhaver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Copenhaver was not wearing a seat belt, the Highway Patrol said. He had moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center in Pilot Knob. Copenhaver’s car was totalled in the crash and towed by Forshee Towing. Copenhaver was cited in the regard to the crash. The Highway Patrol has charged him with driving while intoxicated
