Michael Alan Nichols
Michael Alan Nichols, 64, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Piedmont, Mo, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, at his residence.
On September 8, 1989 he married Brenda Galvin.
Michael was a loving husband and father.
He had proudly served in the United States Army. In his working career he worked as an over the road truck driver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; three sons, Michael Hill, Michael Nichols, Christopher Wiles, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Wanda Pigg of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sherrie Liebeck and husband Ron of Preston, Mo.; grandchildren, Robert Mumper, Dalton Mumper both of Piedmont, Gabrielle Pigg of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; sisters, Mearl Franie of Tuscon, Ariz., Kathleen Clubb and husband Doc of Belleville, Ill., and Donna Clubb and husband Stan of Collinsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Dean Pigg; brothers, Willard Nichols, Ben Nichols, Paul Nichols, Donald Nichols Jr., Loren Nichols; sisters, Beth Renfroe and Juanita Nichols. Committal services were held Monday, January 15, 2018, at 11:30 am, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., with full military honors.
