Raymond Lee Brewer

Raymond Lee Brewer, 74, of Des Arc, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at his residence.

He was born September 2, 1943, in Annapolis, Mo., to Lee and Macy (Lucy) Brewer.

On February 8, 1969, he married Bonnie Brown and to this union, two children were born.

Raymond had worked many years in the log woods and as a mechanic before crippling arthritis cut his working years short. He was able maintain a smile through his pain and be an encouragement to those around him. His smile, in part, was due to his Christian faith that was unwavering and such a blessing to his family. He didn’t mind visiting at any church, sometimes just picking one along the way if not feeling up to driving to Annapolis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Annapolis. Through the years, he enjoyed piddling with his vehicles and hanging at the local spoon in Des Arc for coffee with friends. Family was a huge part of Raymond’s life and he enjoyed the getting together. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Raymond had past served as a board member of Des Arc.
