Vicki Lynn Gamble

Vicki Lynn Gamble, age 62 of Ellington, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at her daughters home in Lesterville. She was born on May 10, 1955, in Winston-Salem, N.C. a daughter of Robert Lee Gamble and Mary Etta (Frazier) Gamble.

On Nov. 11, 1977, in Wilkesboro, N.C. she was united in marriage to Harvey Ballard, he preceded her in death in 1990. Her parents and three brothers, David, Jim and Eddie Gamble also precedes her.

She is survived by four daughters – Windy (Joe) Williams of Ellington, Heather (Jacob) Laughman of Lesterville, Amy (Derek) Crews of Ellington, Amber (Adam) Ballard of Lesterville; one son – Daniel (Dakota) Ballard of Ellington; 12 grandchildren – Devon, Cameron, Holden, Alora, Hayden, Grace, Leevon, Ashlynn, Nolan, Rylee, Lillanna and Amara; four brothers – John, Bobby, Joe and Brian and seven sisters – Joan, Peg, Judy, Desirita, Teresa, Anna and Laura.

Vicki chose to be a stay at home mom and care for her family; she enjoyed painting and being outdoors, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A memorial service may be planned for a later date.
