Eunice Clovies Brunk
Eunice Clovies Goodson Brunk, daughter of the late Ocie Lee Henderson Goodson and Clarence Dewey Goodson, was born in Ellington on Feb. 15, 1933. She departed this life at Brent B. Tinnin Manor in Ellington on Feb. 12, 2018, at the age of 84.
On May 14, 1952, in Centerville, Eunice was united in marriage to Robert Lee Brunk and to this union four sons were born. Eunice’s hobbies included hunting for mushrooms, fishing, camping, and sewing, quilting and working in her yard tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed watching hummingbirds, collecting antiques, bottles and porcelain dolls. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents Eunice was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Morris and George Goodson; and two sisters, Bertie Albert and Gladys Barnes.
Eunice is survived by her husband, Robert Brunk; four sons, Michael Brunk, Wayne Brunk, Danny Brunk and Kendall (Michelle) Brunk all of Ellington; 12 grandchildren, Christina (John) Omberg of Bossier City, La., Mike Brunk Jr. of Ellington, Robert (Tonya) Brunk of Rogersville, Cynthia Brunk of Van Buren, Nathen Brunk of Ellington, Amy Brunk (Andy Asberry) of Ellington, Dana Brunk (Stevan Williams) of Ellington, Dalton Brunk of Ellington, Erica Raymer of Poplar Bluff, Rodney (Jessica) Lipe of Grandin, Anel Lipe of St. Louis and Jessica Harper of Ellington; and 17 great-grandchildren, Caitlynn, Kristopher, Jacob, Jordan, James, Ashley, Lucas, Camden, Carson, Jayce, Chulsey, Colton, Zerika, Tyler, Alexis,, Abbygale and Dallas; and one great-great-grandchild, Annabella; one brother, Junior Goodson of Ellington; and one sister, Mary Brawley of Ellington. Eunice will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 16 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington; with Pastor Mike Rotter officiating. Burial was in Morris Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Dale Simmons, Johnny Paul Brawley, Phil Lewis, Jim Miller, Travis Williamson and J.C. “Jake” Goodson.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington.
