Franklin Eugene Stevenson

Franklin “Frank” Eugene Stevenson of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Des Arc, Mo., passed away March 4, 2018 at his residence at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 13 days.

He was born Sept. 19, 1933 in St. Louis, Mo., a son of the late Sherman and Zora Morris Stevenson.

On April 4, 1954 he was united in marriage to Marian “Jo” Josephine Scaggs, who survives. To this union was born two children, Myron Stevenson and wife Nancy of Parker, Colo., and a daughter Karen Stevenson Parmeley who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were three brothers; Melvin, Delbert, and Leroy Stevenson.

Other survivors include 4 grandchildren; Sean, Jacob, Aaron, and Christopher; 8 great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Franklin retired from McDonnell Douglas Corporation in St. Louis after many years of service.

He was a 1954 graduate Des Arc High School, a member of the Harvester Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, at 12 noon from Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton, Mo. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Dr. Bill Miller will officiate the funeral services. Interment will be in Meadows Cemetery near Des Arc with full military honors.
