Edith Audrey (Barber) Spain
Edith Audrey (Barber) Spain of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on April 27, 2018. She was born March 25, 1926 in Coldwater, Mo., to Samuel and Rosa Lee (Willmore) Barber. She married Earl Edward Spain on January 18, 1947 in St. Louis, Mo. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of the Coldwater Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, embroidering, piecing quilt, crocheting, gardening, Wii, bowling and caring for her family.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, four brothers Vernon, Guy, Clarence and Lawrence: four sisters Mary Barber, Ethel Barber, Glenda Sullivan and Freda Marler and one grandchild Kimberly Spain.
Edith will be remembered fondly by her surviving family, including three children Gary (Nancy) Spain, Jan (Mike) Lutes, Terry (Gina) Spain, One sister Arbetta (Danny) Parson, Seven grandchildren Travis, April, Bryan, Holly, Melissa, Stephanie and Amber. One great granddaughter Nora, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held March 4, 2018 at Follis & Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Mo. Funeral Services were Saturday, March 5, 2018, at Coldwater Methodist Church, Coldwater, Mo. Interment was in the Coldwater Methodist Cemetery. Bro. Steve Dees officiated.
