Shirley Mae Radford

Shirley Mae Radford, born September 8, 1927 in Clinton, Wisconsin to the late Robert Allen and Mildred Lettie (Hofford) Johnson. She departed this life on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Fenton, Missouri with her family by her side. Shirley had attained the age of ninety-one years, two months and eleven days.

On February 4, 1951 Shirley was united in marriage to James “Bill” Otto Radford in Santa Rosa, Texas. To this union five children were born. Bill preceded her in death on August 15, 1996.

Shirley was a retired school teacher and a member of the Missouri Retired Teacher Association. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, and Crocheting. Most of all she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Johnson and Raymond Wickham; and five sisters, Mary Ragan, Lorrain Tyler, Ida Lou Wickham, Jean Sutton, and Diana Dodie.

Survivors include one son, James Leon Radford and wife Tina of Centerville, Missouri; four daughters, Diana Jane Ziegler of Homosassa, Florida, Donna Jean Asberry of High Ridge, Missouri, Mildred Eileen Radford of Farmington, Missouri, and Mary Lynn Radford of Viburnum, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Leroy Ragan and wife Beatrice of Pilot Knob, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Jeannie Wickham of California; as well as many other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing.

Services are set for Saturday, November 24, 2018 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Bunker, Missouri.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. for the public with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Wisdom to officiate.

Burial will be held in the Leon V. Wickham Cemetery.
