Randal D. Thompson
Randal D. Thompson, 60, of Lowndes, Mo., passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Greenville Nursing Center, Greenville, Mo. He was born in St. Louis, MO, June 28, 1958, to parents Leon and Marion (Hewitt) Thompson.
Randal was wonderful person and a great father, grandfather and brother. He was very intelligent and stubborn. He was not afraid to tackle any project and enjoyed tinkering with vehicles. Most of his friends called him, “handy Randy” because if it was broke, he could fix it. He was an avid collector of cuckoo clocks. Randal enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping others. He was an encouragement to young people.
He is preceded in death by both parents, one brother: Leon “Butch” Thompson Jr.; two sisters: Deborah Thompson, Linda Thompson and Mary Dennison.
Randal is survived by children: Randal Thompson Jr., Rachal Thompson of Clubb, MO, Rebecca Thompson and companion of Lowndes, MO; grandchildren: Josilyn Thompson, Jericho Thompson, Madison Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Troy Montgomery, Marion Wood; sisters: Bonnie Tinnin and husband Russell of Imperial, MO, Terri Thompson of IL, Jeannie Loper and husband Bill of Piedmont, MO.
