Michael Stevenson, age 62, of Buffalo, Mo., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He was born Feb. 24, 1956, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Vernon B. Stevenson and Ida Mae (Young) Stevenson.
Michael was a former Pentecostal Evangelist and had lived in Kentucky before moving to Buffalo.
Preceding him in death is his mother, Ida Mae Stevenson.
Survivors include his father, Vernon Stevenson and his wife Rosetta, of Vulcan, Mo., his brother, Mark Stevenson, of Vulcan, Mo., his sister, Vicky Morrison and her husband Randy, of Arnold, Mo., his close friends and caretakers, Rev. Keith and Sherry Pyles, of Buffalo, Mo., and several aunts and uncles.
Also surviving is his niece, Ann Marie (Stevenson) Aufdenberg and her husband Todd, of Jackson, Mo., his nephews, Adam Stevenson, of Houston, Mo., Tyler Morrison, of Arnold, Mo., and Alex Stevenson, of Robins AFB, Georgia, as well as his great niece, Adalynn Aufdenberg, of Jackson, Mo.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at the Vulcan Assembly of God Church with Rev. Keith Pyles officiating. Rev Pyles and Randy Morrison provided special music. Tyler Morrison, Randy Morrison, Todd Aufdenberg, Alex Stevenson and Ronnie Potter served as Pall Bearers. Interment was in the Mt. View Cemetery at Des Arc under the direction of Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel.
