Piedmont Teen Killed in Crash

A Piedmont teenager was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The accident occurred on County Road 468, five miles north of Piedmont.

The Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Tyler McAlister was driving south in a 2003 Chevy S10 pickup. The Accident occurred when his truck ran off the road, overturned and hit a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Reynolds County Coroner.
