Albert Raymond ‘Bud’ Thurman

Albert Raymond “Bud” Thurman of Ironton, MO passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the age of 85 years, 8 moths, and 10 days. He was born November 22, 1933 in St. Louis, MO to the late Dennis and Rose Hamilton Thurman.

On September 8, 1953 Bud was united in marriage to the love of his life, June Marie Eichhorn who survives. Also surviving Bud are four children; Donnie (Kim) Thurman, Timothy Thurman, Gary (Misty) Thurman, all of Ironton, MO and Larry Thurman of Pilot Knob, MO, one brother Dennis Thurman of Kansas City, MO, two sisters; Charlotte Webb and Donna Patterson both of St. Louis, MO, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Jeff Thurman, three brothers, Tommy Thurman, Ray Thurman, and a twin brother in infancy also named Tommy.

Bud served his country with pride and honor in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal, worked many years as a concrete finisher, owned his own concrete finishing company at one time, he loved to play golf and was a member of the Arcadia Valley Country Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at 11:00am at the Cole Family Funeral Home. Visitation for Bud will be Monday, August 5 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Interment will follow in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Pastor Tom White will be officiating the services. Online condolences may be made at www.colefamilyfuneralhomes.com

    Mr T was a lovely neighbor! His passion for staying busy, gardening, mowing and his animals was relentless! I miss seeing him buzz bye on his mower. Stop bye and say hello….Thank you for being our FRIEND!
