Annapolis Man Drowns in Big Creek

An Annapolis man drowned in Big Creek Thursday afternoon while swimming in Big Creek. The incident occurred at 1:15 p.m.

Joey P. Bales, 35, attempted to swim to an underground cave and did not resurface. He was pronounced dead 2:10 p.m. by an emergency room doctor.
