Gerald Lee Brawley
Gerald Lee Brawley, son of the late Gilbert Oland Brawley and Pauline Barnes, was born in Redford, Mo., on May 24, 1945. He departed this life at his residence in Redford, Mo., on Sept. 12, 2019.
On July 3, 1970, in Ellington, Mo., Gerald was united in marriage to June Katherine Albert. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. Gerald was a member of the Redford Baptist Church, Annapolis Baptist Church and the Lesterville VFW. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and cars, and watching deer and turkey. Gerald enjoyed spending time with his brother Marvin outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, and eight siblings, Lois, Dorothy, Yvonne, Opal, Alfred and Oland and Glen.
Gerald is survived by his wife, June Katherine Brawley of Redford, Mo., two sons, Johnny Brawley of Piedmont, Mo., and Chris Brawley of Redford, Mo., two daughters, Telsa Pressdee and husband Steve of Piedmont, Mo., and Diane Hunt and husband Jason of Redford, Mo., one brother, Marvin Brawley of Redford, Mo., two sisters, Doris Barnes of Ellington, Mo., and Mary Brawley of Ellington, Mo., nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Gerald will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, Mo. A Memorial Service to follow at 1p.m.
Pastor Pat Pyles will minister to the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
