Reynolds County Fair Opens Thursday
The 42nd Annual Reynolds County Fair will kick off Thursday. The event promises fun for all ages. You won’t want to miss the activities.
Thursday evening admission fee will be $1. Friday’s admission will be $3 per person and Saturday’s admission remains unchanged at $6 per person.
The officers· and members of the board would like to invite everyone to come out and enjoy all the fun and exciting festivities at this year’s Reynolds County Fair.
Come rain or shine, this fair of tradition is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone’s face. From the young to the old, there is something for everyone at the Reynolds County Fair.
Crowd favorites such as the carnival, Church of the Nazarene fish fry, ATV races, bull riding, 4-H show, team penning, exhibits and awards, and Reynolds County Fair Queen, still remain and be present this year.
Reynolds County Kids Hobbies and Animals is a new addition to the fair this year Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6-8 p.m. On Saturday, KHA will also be from 10-12. Located in the back of the exhibit building, classes will be offered for kids and parents on: robotics, archery, sewing, cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, puppetry, animals and the care of.
A carnival will be at the Reynolds County Fair Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Armbands will be available Friday from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday from 1-5 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. Armbands will be $20 each.
Thursday is the day when people drop off their exhibits (canned goods, cakes, pies, crafts). Exhibits must be entered be 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
On Friday, the fairgrounds will open to the public at 10 a.m. The exhibit building will open to the public at 4 p.m. Team roping will be held Friday at 7 p.m. This is a very popular event for spectators and fans alike.
A Color Run will also be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The cost is $15 per person; contact Brooklyn Roberts at 314-604-2289 to enter.
The State Champions Ellington Whippets Baseball team have been selected as the 2019 Reynolds County Fair Grand Marshals. They and other state champions from Reynolds County will lead the Fair Parade Saturday morning.
Parade lineup will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the parade will start at 10 a.m.
The 4-H Livestock show will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Exhibit Hall.
An ATV Rodeo will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.; registration for this event will be held from 9 a,m. until 10:45 a.m. A Truck Mud Run will be held Saturday at the Fair. Registrations starts at 1 p,m. The mud will start flying at 2 p.m, Children’s games will be held at 3 p.m. The Little Miss Reynolds County pageant will be held at 5 p.m.
Reynolds County Fair has set aside an area to honor your loved ones. Display your favorite photos of your loved ones for $1 to show they are gone but not forgotten.
Somebody’s Dog will perform Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6:00 pm in the arena. The rodeo will start at 8 p.m.
Old Tyme Pony Rides will be set up throughout the fair. This will surely be popular with the children.
