Bruce Allen Henson

Bruce Allen Henson, 64, of Patterson, Mo., passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born August 6, 1955 in Piedmont, Mo., to parents John M and Betty Louise (Harrison) Henson. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He married Laura Hood on January 23, 1999. 

He worked as a construction laborer. Bruce loved to turkey and deer hunt, cook and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce was known for his tall tales and enjoyed making people laugh. He did his very best to help everyone he could and will be sorely missed by all. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of nineteen years: Donna Ruth (Baker) Henson; one son: lil” Bruce Henson, sisters: Sharon Lee “Toppy” Henson and Sharon D. 

Bruce is survived by his wife of twenty years, Laura Henson; children: Natasha Perryman Whitewater, Mo., Michael Christmann and wife Kathleen of St. Charles, Mo., Brandon Henson and fiancé Erica Harmon of Patterson, Mo., grandchildren: Jax Damon Henson, Daniel Jacob Allen Henson, Hannah Grace Perryman, Shannon Allen Perryman, Lily Louann Kemp; brothers: Robert “Red” and wife Joann Henson of Piedmont, John “Mutt” and wife Kathy of Piedmont; sisters: Tammy Baker and husband David of Patterson, Shawnee Williams and husband Rick of DeSoto, Mo. 

Visitation was Friday, January 3, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed Saturday, January 4, 2020, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Brandon Henson, Levi Baker, Shannon Perryman, Melvin Julian, Jim Wyatt, Richard Westmoreland, John Henson, Rick Cooley served as pallbearers.
