Funk Advertising Wins International Award
Funk Advertising Agency of Annapolis, Missouri, has been recognized with the highest award given in the marketing and advertising industry, The Pyramid Award. Over the last thirteen years, the company has won the prestigious award five times. The Pyramid Award is the promotional product industry’s highest achievement, similar to the Grammy Award in music, or the Oscar in movies.
Funk Advertising is owned by Rhesa Funk. She and members of her advertising team will travel to Las Vegas in January to be recognized during the Promotional Product Association International tradeshow and expo event, PPAI Expo 2020. The Expo is the world’s largest promotional products tradeshow.
“PPAI has over 15,000 businesses like ours within their organization, and we’re honored to be selected for the top of the heap for our creative efforts for our customers,” Funk said. “Our business is building other people’s businesses, and we’re proud and excited to be recognized for our work.”
The competition period was April 2018 to March 2019. The contest was judged during the summer, and winners were notified in late November. Funk Advertising’s entry featured the company’s advertising and social media work for The Crazy Sister Cafe, a restaurant formerly located in Annapolis.

Funk has been in the advertising industry for over thirty years. She spent twenty years in the newspaper industry in both advertising and journalism. She formerly operated a professional speaking and sales training business. For the last fifteen years she’s owned an advertising agency specializing in sales-increase campaigns for businesses. Funk Advertising Agency is located in The Purple House Business Complex in Annapolis.
