Glee Sharon Wheeler
Glee Sharon Wheeler of Annapolis, Mo., passed away on December 26, 2019, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 23 days. She was born March 3, 1951 in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Gilbert and Genetha Wheatley Wheeler.
On April 17, 1997 Glee was united in marriage to David Suntrup who preceded her in death on August 14, 2013.
Glee is survived by two sisters, Gale Wheeler of Kirlwood, Mo., and Della Bryant of North Richland Hills, Texas, one brother Charles Wheeler of Fort Worth, Texas, a step-daughter Sarah Rippey and her husband Joe of Fenton, Mo. There was a special bond between Joe and Glee, he reminded her of Sarah’s father and brought comfort to her.
As a young woman, Glee graduated from Stephens College with a Bachelor’s Degree in education and went on to own and operate Bearcat Getaway in Annapolis, Mo., for many years. She and her family served thousands of families over the years and helped her visitors build their own family memories.
Glee was an avid animal lover and loved all animals, especially her own pets; dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, cows, and would always help abandoned pets. She loved to have fun, she loved music, and took pride in her vegetable gardens and flower gardens.
