Odie Raymond Brickey

Odie Raymond Brickey was born on March 15, 1940 in West Eminence, Missouri to Odie and Thelma (Rose) Brickey and passed away on December 26, 2019 in Bunker, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years.

Odie was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Lavon Burnham on August 6, 1960, and to this union five children were born: Kathy, Diane, Danny, Randy, and Mark. Odie worked at Ozark Lead for over thirty years, he always worked hard to provide for his family.

Odie loved the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing and hunting. He liked working with his hands and made many quilts. Odie was an active member of Little Vine United Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship there. Most of all, Odie cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Odie is survived by his loving wife: Lavon (Burnham) Brickey of the home; five children: Kathy Shipp and husband Russell, Diane Roberts and husband Mark, Danny Brickey, Randy Brickey, and Mark Brickey and wife Teela; one sister: Rita Thomas and husband Glendale; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Odie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Graveside Services for Odie Raymond Brickey were held Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Jane Callahan Cemetery with Pastor Garry Mathes officiating. Special music was played at the graveside. Serving as Pallbearers were his loving family. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
