SI Panthers take home Christmas Tournament
The South Iron Panthers, coached by Dusty Dinkins, beat Central 73-57 to win the Central Christmas Tournament, Dec. 31, 2019.
The Panthers have an 11-0 record. Drenin Dinkins with 25 points and Brock Wakefield with 22 points led the Panthers. D. J. Prater had 12 points. Jacob Howell had 8 points. Champ McMurry had 6 points. Drew Hamski led Central with 18 points.
The South Iron Panthers crushed North County 77-40 in the semi-finals of the Central Christmas Tournament. Brock Wakefield led the Panthers with 22 points. Drenin Dinkins, who spent time on the bench because of foul trouble, had 11 points. D. J. Prater had 10 points. Champ McMurry and Blake Crayton had 8 points each, Martez Burse and Jacob Howell had 5 points each, Gabe Ruble had 4 points, and Kolten Dinkins had 2 points.
Karter Kekec led North County with 19 points. Clayton Crow had 5 points. Nolan Reed and Thatcher Karsch had 4 points each.
The South Iron Panthers bombed Jefferson 90-49 in the quarterfinals of the Central Christmas Tournament. Brock Wakefield and Drenin Dinkins had 28 points each to led the Panthers. Jacob Howell had 10 points. D. J. Prater had 8 points. Champ McMurry had 6 points. Martez Burse had 4 points.
The South Iron Panthers beat Crystal City 68-36 in Round 1 of the Central Christmas Tournament. Drenin Dinkins led the Panthers with 24 points. Brock Wakefield and D. J. Prater had 15 points each. Jacob Howell had 5 points. Marco Burse had 3 points.
Drew Richardson led Crystal City with 11 points. Eisenbeis had 6 points. Nate Denby had 5 points. Short had 4 points.
