As a child growing up, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed working in the garden, caring for her younger siblings, caring for animals, and helping her Dad with making railroad ties. She was grateful for the fact that she was raised that a female could take on jobs that were considered male dominated jobs. She was glad to be able to continue those opportunities in marriage and motherhood.

Wanda and Bill worked side by side in the timber business and home life, raising six children. Wanda was known for her homemade rolls, Christmas candies, her green thumb with flowers and the garden. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her collection of music, especially her Christian music. She was a simple person and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to gospel music, and reading her Bible. In the last few years, she acquired a hobby coloring and was able to get her family interested in her hobby with her. She will be greatly missed.
