Carl Wade Hill
Carl Wade Hill, son of the late Ray Hill and Anna Belle Stevenson Hill, was born in Ironton, Missouri, on December 31, 1963. He departed this life at Camelot Nursing Home in Farmington, Missouri, on January 4, 2020, at the age of 56.
On May 21, 1999 in Dexter, Missouri, Carl was united in marriage to Linda Kelsay.
Carl was a former member of the Ellington Rotary Club, Ellington Chamber of Commerce, and the Dexter United Methodist Church Men’s Club. He ran Hill’s Self Service Station for over 20 years. During that time, Carl was known for helping out many people in need. He enjoyed supporting local clubs. He sponsored the River Rats Softball Teams. In his early years, Carl attended the Redford Church of the Nazarene and currently attended the Dexter United Methodist Church. Carl enjoyed buying old cars, hunting, going to the coffee shop and going to church. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids, nieces and nephews, and especially his daughter, “Sweet Pea.”
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Anna Belle Hill.
Carl is survived by his wife, Linda Hill of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters, Jonni Raye Hill of Dexter, Missouri, and Michelle Mahler and husband Brandon of Springfield, Missouri, one son, Alan Kelsay and wife Kelly of Olathe, Kansas, two sisters, Cheryl Huff and husband David of Annapolis, Missouri, Sheila Shrum and husband Darrell of Redford, Missouri, 4 grandchildren, Owen, Belle, Nora and Branch, and one grandchild on the way.
A gathering of friends was held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Redford Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service followed.
Pastor Doug Massie ministered to the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to the American Diabetes Association.
