Edward E. ‘Sonnie’ Sisco
Edward E. Sisco, age 85, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont. He was born March 7, 1934 in Hunter, MO, the son of Robert L. Sisco and Hilda (Raymer) Sisco.
Sonnie was a Korea Veteran, serving in the US Marine Corp from 1952 to 1954. He was married to Shirley Snider June 28, 1952 in Ellsinore and they lived in Lake St. Louis for many years. He retired from General Motors and he and Shirley made there home in Piedmont. He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death is his wife Shirley, his parents, Robert and Hilda Sisco, one brother, Jim Sisco, and one sister, Opal Hartley.
Survivors include 3 children, Kim Graham and her husband Rick, of Patterson, Kent Sisco and his wife Malorie, of Piedmont, Kristi Allen and her husband Mike, of Piedmont, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his special friend, Gene Boxx, of Springfield, MO, along with many other family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Morrison Chapel in Piedmont with Bro. Bill Turner officiating. A special recorded song was played for the service and Sonnie’s grandsons, Kris Allen, Kyle Allen, Josh Allen, Caleb Allen, Matt Graham and Scott Sisco served as Pall Bearers. Burial was in the Smith Chapel Cemetery near Ellsinore under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel. Memorials have been requested to the Piedmont Public Library.
