Charles Lee Wilkins
Charles Lee Wilkins, age 51, of Piedmont, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born December 10, 1968 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Charles E. Wilkins and Bertha (Barfield) Wilkins-Henson.
Charles, or “Bubba” and “Chopper”, as he was known, was a truck driver for Dean Frink Transportation in Bonne Terre and had been a resident of Piedmont for many years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Wilkins, his mother, Bertha Henson and his step dad, Ottis Henson.
Survivors include his former wife, Linda Lou Clardy, of Leslie, Mo., 2 children, Justin Allen Wilkins, of Piedmont, Kayla Marie Wilkins, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, 2 brothers, Kenneth Wilkins, of Piedmont, Bill Henson, of Coolidge, Ariz., 2 sisters, Laura Wilkins, of Piedmont and Cheryl Smith and her husband Bones, of Piedmont.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and a host of friends and family. He will be very deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Morrison Chapel in Piedmont with Rev. Kevin Kinnard officiating. Special recordes songs were played for the service and Justin Wilkins gave a tribute to his dad. Tanner Wilkins, Eric James, Jacob Smith, Roger Bishop, Andrew Mize, Ronnie Peppers, Ronnie Joe McFadden and Matt Ward served as Pall Bearers. Burial was in the Mill Spring Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
