William Durrl Sherrill
William Durrl Sherrill of Ironton, Mo., passed away March 22, 2020 in Farmington, MO at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 15 days. He was born Feb. 7, 1929 in Annapolis, Mo., a son of the late Luther and Martha Lewis Sherrill.
On Dec. 24, 1949 he was united in marriage to Wanda Faye Chronister who preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 2015. To this union two sons were born; Gary Sherrill of Arnold, Mo., and David Sherrill of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jason, Christy, and Dana; three great grandchildren; one brother Harl Sherrill of Bowling Green, Ken., and many, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Durrl was preceded in death by two brothers, Verl and Jerld Sherrill and a sister Verina Pearson.
For most of his life, Durrl worked as a machinist and worked for Liberty Machine Company, he was member of the Stouts Creek Baptist Church and a member of the National Rifle Association.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Annapolis Cemetery where family and friends are welcome. A visitation for family members will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Cole Family Funeral Home in Ironton. Rev. Mike Hagerty will be officiating the services Interment will be in the Annapolis Cemetery.
