Vester ‘Butch’ Aday
Vester “Buster” Aday son of the late Evear Junior Aday and Clarence Aday was born in Hickman, Kentucky, on April 10, 1932. He departed this life at his residence in Ellington, Missouri, on April 1, 2020, at the age of 87.
On August 23, 1958 in East St. Louis, Illinois, Buster was united in marriage to JoAnne Evelyn Lee and to this union one daughter was born. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2011. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Buster was a member of Webb Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, pitching horse shoes, collecting scrap metal and playing the guitar.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Cynthia Aday, his step-daughter, Evelyn Prater, two brothers, Jerry Aday and Oather Aday, three sisters, Jeanette and Lavern Aday, Opal Davis and Frances Thompson.
Buster is survived by his daughter, Barb Baker and companion Billy Whitchurch of Ellington, Missouri, two granddaughters, Kimberly and Sandy and five great-grandchildren, Jesse, Dylan, Tyler, Breanna and Terry Jr. Buster will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Graveside Services were be held Monday, April 6, at Ellington Memorial Cemetery. Scott Jones ministered to the family.
