Rev. James A. Littles

Rev. James A. Littles, Sr., age 78, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home near Piedmont, MO. He was born March 19, 1942 in Piedmont, the son of Andrew Littles and Myra (Harris) Littles. Rev. Littles was married to Eva R. Tucker October 7, 1960 in St. Louis. Together they ministered as Church Planters in New York for the United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Littles was the Pastor Emeritus of the United Pentecostal Church in Piedmont and was honored by the United Pentecostal Church International for his 60 years of ministry.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Andrew and Myra Littles, his wife Eva Littles, one brother, Jerry Littles and one sister, Naomi Eggemeier.

Survivors include 4 sons, Dr. James A. Littles, Jr. and his wife Sherri, of Dallas, Texas, Tony Littles and his wife Carol, of Piedmont, Rev. David Littles and his wife Michelle, of Piedmont, Dr. Dan Littles and his wife Michelle, of Florissant, Mo.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Starkey and her husband Aaron, Amanda Grapperhaus and her husband Adam, Jane Bridges and her husband Bryan, James Littles, III and his wife Juhina, Anthony Littles and his wife Angel, Matthew Littles, Ashley Phares, Jason Littles and his wife Amber, Erica Pratt and her husband Nathan, Meghan Littles, Michael Littles and Joshua Littles, as well as 13 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 30, 2020, with Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Jason Littles, Anthony Littles, Matthew Littles, James Littles, III, Michael Littles and Joshua Littles served as Pall Bearers. Bryan Bridges, Aaron Starkey, Adam Grapperhaus and Nathan Pratt served as Honorary Pall Bearers. Interment was in the Gresham Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel. Memorials have been requested to the Piedmont United Pentecostal Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
