Billy Eugene Holcomb Sr.

Billy Eugene Holcomb Sr., 86, of Patterson, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at his residence. He was born November 14, 1933, in Cairo, Il., to parents Hoyt and Maggie (White) Holcomb. 

Billy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and friend. He married Erma Jean Williams on December 29, 1981. Billy was proud of his family and loved his wife and children with all his heart. 

He was a hard worker and exceptionally good provider. He was an over the road truck driver and a member of Teamsters for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool, and throwing horseshoes. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children: James Holcomb, Billy Holcomb Jr., Charles “Chuck” Holcomb, and Keith Williams; brothers: Clarence, James, and Hoyt Holcomb; sister, Irene McKernon, two infant siblings; grandchild: Leonard Isley. 

Billy is survived by children: Sharon Holcomb of Corning Ar., Sandra Lee Moniot and husband Dave of Forest City, Ia., Sandy Lowe and husband James of Barlow, Ky., Niece Kitty Quinton (that was like a  daughter) and husband Tom of Farmington, Mo.; grandchildren: Lauren Jackson and husband Tom, Adam Holcomb and wife Jessica, Chris Isley and wife Joann, Tara Holcomb, Susan Ray and husband Derek, Candice Reed (Pa Pa’s candy baby), Ashleigh Shepard and husband Scott, Jaime Hale and husband Logan, Jadyn Williams, Lana Joiner, Jess Lowe; many great-grandchildren. Billy will be sadly missed by his family and friends. 

Visitation was Monday, May 18, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was Tuesday, May 19, 2020, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Chaplain T.J. Woodard ministered to the family. Adam Holcomb, Tim Williams, David Joy, Zach Joy, Scott Shepard, and Tommy Holt served as pallbearers. Kenny Boyer served as honorary pallbearer. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
