Joyce Ricks

Joyce Ricks, age 67, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Cedar Gate Healthcare Nursing Home. She was born on November 2, 1952, in Douglas County, NE, to Deloris Maxine (Benge) Miller and Charles Richard Lane. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She had a heart of gold. Her family was everything to her. Joyce was a dedicated Christian and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather: Charles Wesley Miller, Sr.; her sisters: Cheri Lynn (Miller) Slavens, Linda Lou Miller; her brother: Charles Wesley Miller, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her children: Christian (Chris) Zachary Uecker-Ricks and wife Rebecca of Farmington, Chance Ricks and wife Ashley of Fort Hood, TX, Charity Joy (Ricks) Cooper and husband, David of Fredericktown; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild: Bentley; her brothers: Larry Miller, Sr. of Lincoln, MO, Victor Miller, Sr. and wife, Melinda of Piedmont; her sisters: Joan Lloyd of Millsboro, DE, Janet Mittelstaedt and husband, Roy of Pierce, NE, Bertha Kilpatrick and husband, Perry of Kansas City, MO, and Violet Burns of Lincoln, NE.

Visitation was held at 3:00 pm, Monday, June 1, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed at 4:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Dan Ross ministered to the family. Chance Ricks and Christian Ricks gave a heartfelt eulogy. Chance Ricks, Christian Ricks, David Cooper, Brandon Ricks, Ryan Ricks, and Travis Ricks served as pallbearers. Burial was in Little Lake Cemetery near Piedmont.
