Mary ‘Elnora’ Moss

Mary “Elnora” Moss, 87, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont. Elnora was born on January 11, 1933, in Webb City, MO, to the late William and Mary (Wilcoxen) Spawr.

On February 14, 1950, Elnora married the love of her life Russell Moss and to this union four children were born.

Elnora was a very active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School and VBS. She enjoyed traveling and being in the great outdoors.

Elnora was an officer of the Airstream Club Region 8 for six years. Her love for travel took them to Melbourne, FL, where she and Russell liked to spend their winters.

Elnora also volunteered as a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Elnora will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: John Spawr, sister: Pearl Burks.

Elnora is survived by her husband of seventy years, Children: Crayton Moss and wife Anna of Guthrie, OK, Bill Moss and wife Sherry of Wildwood, MO, Nadine Burton and husband Rick of Lithia, FL, Lois Moss of Piedmont, MO, sisters: Betty Ann Cantrell and husband Larry of Carthage, MO, Susan Smith of Ozark, MO, Pauline Milke of Corona, CA: six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service followed also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Jim Norman ministered to the family. Burial was at Peachtree Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
